MSC WORLD EUROPA GRAND VOYAGE 2023
Our journey began with a Qatar Airlines flight from Adelaide to Doha, a short stop at the Airport and then a one-hour flight from Doha to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. We spent two nights at the JW Marriot hotel and enjoyed the sights of Dubai.
Our first day in Dubai we got a taxi to the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, and got the lift to the 124th floor. The views from there were amazing.
Following the visit to the Burj Khalifa, we took a stroll through the Dubai Mall. Image Westfield shopping centre 10 times bigger. A massive Aquarium in the middle of it and shops galore. We had dinner there and then went our side to the lake area which surrounds the shopping mall, to watch the nightly fountain show. We have seen the one at Bellagio resort in Las Vegas, but this one was 3 times bigger and goes for about 20 minutes.
Next day we had a tour booked to the Desert for some adventure in the Dunes. We travelled about 60kms out of Dubai and spent 90 minutes travelling up and down the dunes in a 4-wheel drive vehicle, then a camel ride followed by a B-B-Q lunch in a Bedouin camp. This was such a great day and I will recommend it to everyone if they get the chance.
